1. Acceptance of Terms

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Zoppi mobile application (the "Service") provided by Gridwork Studio ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or accessing the Service, you agree to these terms, which apply to all visitors and users. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Zoppi is a productivity and wellness app that provides:

  • Task management and tracking
  • AI-powered motivational chat with three personalities (Wise, Cheer, Grumpy)
  • Progress tracking and analytics
  • Daily motivational quotes
  • Push notification reminders

3. AI-Powered Chat

3.1 AI Limitations

Zoppi uses Google Gemini AI to generate conversational responses. Important limitations:

  • Not Medical Advice: Zoppi is NOT a licensed medical professional, doctor, therapist, or healthcare provider
  • Not Mental Health Treatment: AI responses are not a substitute for professional mental health care
  • Potential Inaccuracies: AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or unreliable
  • No Professional Relationship: Using Zoppi does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or any other professional relationship

3.2 Mental Health Crisis

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call emergency services immediately or contact:

  • Crisis Text Line: Text "HELLO" to 741741

3.3 User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated information. Always verify important information from trusted sources. Exercise caution and critical thinking when interpreting responses.

4. Subscription Terms

4.1 Free Trial

  • Duration: 7 days
  • Daily Limit: 10 AI chat messages per day
  • Features: Access to all three personalities, task management, progress tracking
  • Automatic Conversion: Trial does NOT automatically convert to paid subscription

4.2 Premium Subscription

  • Monthly Plan: $4.99/month
  • Annual Plan: $47.99/year (save $11.89)
  • Features: Unlimited AI chat messages, all personalities, future premium features

4.3 Payment & Billing

  • Payment Method: Charged through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled 24 hours before the current period ends
  • Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice
  • No Refunds: Subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law

4.4 Cancellation

  • How to Cancel: Manage subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play settings
  • Effect: Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Data Retention: Your data remains accessible even after cancellation (unless you delete your account)

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use Zoppi for:

  • Personal productivity and wellness tracking
  • Motivational support and task management
  • Progress tracking and habit building

5.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT:

  • Use Zoppi for medical diagnosis, treatment, or clinical therapeutic purposes
  • Rely on Zoppi for medication dosage or critical health decisions
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the App
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others through the App
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

6. User Accounts

6.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Zoppi
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

6.2 Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Use the App in a harmful or illegal manner

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

All content, features, and functionality of Zoppi (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, software) are owned by Gridwork Studio and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Rights

You retain ownership of the data you create in Zoppi (tasks, chat messages, etc.). We do not claim ownership of your content.

7.3 License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Privacy & Data

Your use of Zoppi is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to:

  • Collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy
  • Sharing data with third-party services (Firebase, Gemini AI, RevenueCat, Expo)
  • Processing of your data in the United States

9. Medical Disclaimer

Zoppi is designed for general wellness and productivity tracking. It is NOT intended for medical diagnosis, treatment, or clinical therapeutic use.

  • Task reminders (including medication reminders) are for convenience only—always follow your doctor's instructions
  • Do not rely on Zoppi for medication dosage or health decisions
  • For medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, consult a licensed healthcare provider
  • In case of emergency, call emergency services immediately

10. Disclaimers

10.1 "AS IS" Basis

Zoppi is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The App is free of viruses or harmful components
  • Results from using the App will be accurate or reliable

10.2 No Professional Advice

Nothing in Zoppi constitutes professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise). Always consult qualified professionals for specific advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gridwork Studio shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Service interruptions or errors
  • Reliance on AI-generated content
  • Third-party actions or content

Maximum Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Zoppi in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $50 if no payment was made).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gridwork Studio from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of Zoppi
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your negligence or misconduct

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date
  • Sending an in-app notification
  • Posting a notice in the App

Continued use of Zoppi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Gridwork Studio regarding the use of Zoppi.
